On occasions we're specifically engaged to find a piano locally (Melbourne metro and Mornington Peninsula area) The buyer pays for my time. You won't be tricked, lied to or "diddled". If it's a good piano, I'm happy to recommend they pay you a decent price.

2/ Hayley seeks a medium size upright piano, Walnut polish for her new home and whilst a modern design is preferred, the budget is limited to $1800. Will consider Korean models ' but not Chinese thankyou !"( eg Lisner, Hsing Hai etc )
3/ As an adult now returning to music lessons Dave has asked for a particular brand of piano, having learned on a Perzina (Wertheim). There were different models made... his parents' piano had distinctive ornamental white frame. If well kept and fastidiously maintained yours would be of interest at up to $3000

4/ Tony from the Latrobe Valley urgently requires a good piano.
His 2 children are having lessons and presently practising on a small keyboard.
Wants piano capable of holding tune... I recommended older Beale (patented tuning system) Note: If you have one of this brand, simply lift top lid and check if the words Vader Wrest Plank are visible inside.
For a Beale in good internal condition Tony will pay up to $2000. Provided the cabinet is sound he's not too concerned about minor surface defects.
5/ Many people ask the Pianoman for help in selecting from the imported Japanese used pianos by Kawai, Yamaha and others now selling at $4000 plus in Piano Shops.
In the past, I'd recommend they buy such instruments from reputable merchants offering warranties not available with privately sold instruments.
As a satisfied owner of such pianos myself however, I'm happy to introduce buyers to those with authentic Japanese made upright and grand pianos for sale.
