PLAY PIANO BY EAR ?   OzPianoman says:

If you are interested in creating music, improvising or playing properly "by ear" - many Pro piano players are now revealing their secrets. (Be warned - not all are good at it...)
Yes, it's become possible to learn how to adequately play Popular songs without Music!
For example: Click on image below for details of a 270 page instruction book and other affordable music books and music courses - some with CD or video.

For Me ? PICK of the CROP . . .
I prefer what I've introduced in my own teaching of others; New concepts presented by Ron - perhaps the world's most highly regarded of the true professional players capable of creating such material.

play piano by ear Important note from your Pianoman:

Playing "by ear" has been my business, my hobby and an absolute joy to have been able to teach others to do also.
Older people often excel because they have so many well known tunes locked away in their heads; Those popular songs & great standards from the 1940's & 50's through to the present, where the occasional "gem" catches one's ear.
If you're like me and can't exactly hum a tune properly - playing by ear is still a snap.
Even children can do it easily. And most of them aren't all that familiar with anything other than one or two nursery rhymes.
Fact :
All you need to develop this most enjoyable playing style is one of Your Favorite songs !

SIMPLE?   Yes.     A Secret?   Yes - that too!
But if you can poke around with one finger and find just a couple of notes from say a folk song or Christmas Carol... give me a few weeks and you'd know how to play the rest of it.
Best of all, what you discover can be applied to other songs. As a result you become a better player and ultimately, a better musician, having learned to play by ear.

It's the Big "secret" that your average Piano Teacher never discovers.
How do I know that ???
Well . . . there's a few teachers over the years who have asked me to show them !

And why do so many "certificated" teachers who book in emerge from their first lesson with a dazed expression ?
It's because Ol' Pianoman had them try something like the song heard on this page*.
I ask them to have a go at playing "by Ear";
Using just One Finger each hand; Any song they wish to perform...
and most of these 'piano teachers' just can't handle it! Now isn't that strange?

Some geezer in a pub who never had a lesson in his life can play a whole heap of recognizable songs - but your "trained" piano teacher just doesn't seem to have a clue? (..."Sorry, can't play without my music.")

And unless you're living somewhere near one of very few experienced Professionals who give lessons, you can forget about learning how to play "by ear"... PROPERLY.

So that's why Pianoman commends such publications to you.

Playing piano should be FUN and for those keen to access the world's "Best Kept Secrets", music books like these give you the answers.

Enjoy play by ear

Note: * The song performed here is reproduced at the speed it was recorded whilst using one finger each hand simultaneously.

ps. ** Your alternative to the publication highlighted above is an incredible 300 page course by our friend Jermaine Griggs who has added some valuable bonuses to his already value-packed and feature-laden music course.
